Ca 2+ homeostasis is disturbed by 27-OHC. Ca2+ imaging was performed in the presence of thapsigargin (Tg; 2 μM in a Ca2+-free media) in control ARPE-19 cells (a) or cells treated with 10 μM (b) or 25 μM 27-OHC (c). Ca2+ influx was measured by the addition of 1 mM Ca2+ externally and traces shown here are averages of 30-40 cells in each condition (d).
