Microscopy of the slide culture on potato dextrose agar at 10 days revealed the presence of septate hyphae that were 2 μm in diameter. There was irregular branching of the hyphae with the production of round or oval (3 to 5 by 5 to 10 μm) lateral and terminal conidia (a).
