Definition and calculation of BMO-MRW and BMO-MRA. For each subject, 48 BMOs were obtained by 24 angularly equidistant radial B-scans (4 of the 24 B-scans are shown in the picture). BMO-MRW was the minimum distance between BMO and the ILM (blue arrow). BMO-MRA was the minimum surface between every two adjacent BMOs and the ILM (the area surrounded by the yellow arrows). The BMO-MRA value was determined by summing the areas of those minimum surfaces in each sector or globally
