Initial population of patients who were

   prescribed a prostaglandin ocular hypotensive

   agent between 1/1/2004-12/31/2004

Patients < 40 years of age on index prescription

   date

Patients not having continuous enrollment for

   180 days before and 358 days after index date

Patients having another topical ocular

   hypotensive dispensed 180 days before index

   date (ie, not new to glaucoma therapy)

Patients not having monotherapy on index date

   (ie, had more than one ocular hypotensive agent)

Patients having no diagnosis for any glaucoma-

   related condition (ICD-9 diagnosis = 365*)

   for 180 days before index date
