Immunohistochemical analysis of VEGF expression in the different retinal layers. A higher expression was found in diabetic rats on a HFD compared to controls. VEGF expression in the different layers: the fiber layer (FL), outer plexiform layer (OPL) and retinal pigment epithelium (RPE). Bar 50 μm.
