  1. For quadrant comparison one has to keep in mind, that the superior HVF measures only to 50 degrees due to the paucity of retinal ganglion cells in the inferior peripheral retina. Therefore, only nasal and temporal quadrants can be compared in the superior and inferior half respectively. Each neighbouring age group showed a significant decrease of the individual quadrants mean threshold level in the older age group
