Relevance of expression levels of the seven miRNAs to the severity of lens nuclear opacity. Forty five samples were divided into three groups according to their grading of nuclear opacity. Each group contained 15 samples. The expression level of each miRNA in 0 < N ≤ 2 group was defined as 1. Up-regulation of miR-34a-5p and miR-630 are closely related to a higher severity score of nuclear cataract, while down-regulation of miR-335-3p is associated with the increase of nuclear opacity (mean ± SD, n = 3). *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01
