P values were determined with a paired t-test. TMH tear meniscus height, “Pre” indicates preoperatively. “Post” indicates 6 months after the removal of the stent. Group 1 includes patients with an obstruction of the lacrimal punctum, the lacrimal canaliculus and both common lacrimal canaliculus and nasolacrimal duct. Group 2 includes an obstruction of the lacrimal sac, the proximal nasolacrimal duct and distal nasolacrimal duct
